Sky is the limit and bloomin' love

This week I decided to use one of the free sets available from the sale-a-bration cataloue this year. The catalogue has been so popular this year, with many of my customers already taking advantage of the free offers. The stamp set I used was the 'Sky is the limit' which is one of my favourite FREE sale-a-bration stamp sets this year. It is so much fun and I love the old aeroplane.

The sky is created by punching out a 'cloud' from the tree builder punch and using it as a mask. Sponge soft sky ink randomly around the mask over the top half of the whisper white card.

One of the trees from the The lovely as a Tree stamp set was inked in memento black and stamped three generations over the bottom half of the card creating different shades of black and greys for the trees.

The plane was stamped in memento black on a separate piece of card and decoupaged. Can you spot the propellor? We punched a 3/4" circle in vellum and attached it with a mini brad in the centre

A similar card to the one above but stamped with a combination of green, crumb cake and black ink.

The second card was created with the Bloomin' Love stamp set and coordinating Thinlits Dies.

This intricate die cut heart is so gorgeous and is a great addition to anyones craft stash. It didn't require anything more adding to it apart from the die cut flowers from the new Blushing bride glimmer paper and some organza ribbon wrapped around the bottom of the card. A simple layered card with stunning results.

Sky is the Limit stamp set is just one of the products you can get for FREE when purchasing £45 Stampin' Up items during the Sale-a-bration promotion. This set however is only available for a limited time until 15th February.

Grateful bunch and guy greetings

After a long break for Christmas I finely started back with my first craft class for 2016. With all the new fabulous products to play with from the new spring/summer and sale-a-bration catalogues I have had so much fun over the past couple of weeks creating lots of different cards for my upcoming classes...

In the class I decided to do two cards for different genders, that could be adopted for near enough any occasion throughout the year.

The first one was made using the new Grateful Bunch bundle set from the occasions catalogue. This  set consists of  8 stamps and a co-ordinating blossom bunch punch

I chose Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry colour combination

The second card is a variation of one we made before christmas when we used the lovely as a tree stamp set. You can view it HERE

The woodland textured embossing folder was inked with crumb cake and then tempting turquoise was swooped across the top and bottom of the folder.

The cars were then stamped directly onto the same part of the embossing folder in the position you want them to be. We found holding the stamp in position for a couple of seconds gave a better image giving time for the ink to transfer to the embossing folder. Remember the images will print as a mirror image and the cars will be heading in a different direction
A piece of very vanilla card was placed in the desired position in the folder and then rolled through the big shot machine. The cars were highlighted with an aquapainter and tempting turquoise ink by colouring the car doors and paintwork and the tree trunks were sponged lightly with crumb cake
Everyone's image was unique
