scalloped edge swing card

The cards this week are from the inspiration of Amanda at The Craft Spa,  I love reading her blog and looking at her fabulous creations. You can see her original card HERE with a great tutorial too! Thanks for sharing.

Here are my versions of the swing card.
Four papers were chosen from the Pretty Petals Designer series stack to create two different cards along with the Wild About Flowers and Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set

Amanda's tutorial was very easy to follow and although all the ladies were very apprehensive about the cutting and scoring, with help they all made an excellent job with no mistakes!!

A few die cut butterflies were added to the decoration in complimentary colours.

A stunning card using an interesting fold which I will certainly be recreating again, possibly with a christmas theme. Watch this space!

Bird builder anniversary and a mans card using baby framelits!

I was recently asked to make an anniversary card and as I was looking through my craft supplies for inspiration I came across my fantastic bird builder punch. This is one of the very first punches I purchased as a demonstrator and is well used and loved. It is the punch I always go to when I want a few leaves.

Two sets of body and wings were punched,  the edges were sponged with crumb cake and layered up with dimensionals. One of the birds was placed behind a punched out heart in the brick wall and the other placed on top with a few leaves and flowers.

There was a choice of pink or green bakers twine and a sentiment to finish it off

The birds and flowers came alive when the black and yellow pearls were added

We used the brick wall embossing folder again to help produce this mans card.

The baby framelits are great for making the ties and clothes hanger.

Awsomely artistic and work or art

I can't believe we are in the first week of August already, the weeks are just flying by, so much so I have forgotten to share last weeks cards!

Both cards were inspired from other blogs and have been CASED from HERE and HERE.

Thank you for the inspiration ladies and I loved both cards that I needed to recreate them with a little editing!

Awesomely artistic is a beautiful set containing 9 stamps

The Brick embossing folding is proving to be an invaluable asset in my craft store. This time the folder was inked with sahara sand first before running through the big shot to show the mortar joints

The next card uses the work of art stamp set which was one of the bonus deals last week.

The ladies had a choice of either the sailing ship or train. Most people chose the train as it was something completely different to what we normally do although the sailing ship was easier!!

The train was created with four of the work of art stamps and a stamp-a-majig.
