Indescribable gift

Easter is approaching and I knew I had the perfect stamp set in my stash to create a fabulous Easter Card.  I have had the Indescribable Gift stamp set for quite a few weeks now which hadn't seen any ink up until now.

The stamp was inked with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder on to the vellum.  An embossing ball tool was used on the back to emboss the image. We then coloured the image  on the back with  Stampin’ Write markers, using Calypso Coral, and Pear Pizzazz,   It was  attached to the whisper white card with four small brads

A new technique was used in the class for the second card. We used a brayer inked up with soft sky ink and rolled  it across the inside of the spring flowers embossing folder. We also found it worked just as well by rubbing over the embossing folder with an ink pad.

The white card was put inside the folder and it was put through the big shot to create a fabulous background effect.

You could choose the debossed  or embossed image for your finished look

I did a workshop for a group of ladies using the same technique but with Sahara Sand

Two of the cards from the workshop showing both the embossed and debossed backgrounds. Don't they look great!

Why not have a go with your embossing folders to see what effects you achieve

Butterfly Basics Square Sampler card

I am back again as promised sharing the cards from last weeks class.

We have been making quite a few cards recently using stamps and ink and as I have had a few new members join our classes over the past few weeks I thought I would create a couple of cards using punches, embossing folders and only a little stamping

Here is the first of our makes, a sampler card using two different sized square punches,  happy hearts and spring flowers embossing folders, itty bitty butterfly and flower punches, and apothecary accents framelits

You may have noticed over the last few blogs that I love the Butterfly Basics stamp set and have used it again for this card by colouring the flower stamp with pink pirouette, strawberry slush and pear pizzazz marker pens to create the flower image.

With Stamping 'sending wishes your way' makes it an excellent all occasion card. I swapped the hearts embossing folder with the polka dots for a different background effect on the following card

The second of our cards last week used just three types of punches and one embossing folder!

We embossed the Crisp Cantaloupe card with the stripes embossing folder before layering it on to the whisper white and pool party card. A 5cm strip of whisper white card was punched at one end with the scalloped topper tag punch and then punched again with the elegant butterfly punch to create an aperture in the tag. A strip of ribbon from the Best Year Accessory Pack added around the top. A few more butterflies were punched from Sale-a-bration Best Ever Designer series paper and itty bitty banner sentiments were stamped and cut out and layered on top.

We all found this to be a very easy and quick card to create

Butterfly basics screen card

It's the weekend again and I have spent a relaxing day in my craft room today playing and creating cards for future classes.

I am afraid I am still catching up with sharing cards from the classes so I do apologise for those of you who have been waiting for the cards to go onto my blog. I promise this will be rectified over the next few days!

Here is the card from our class a couple of weeks ago

It is a beautiful screen card which was designed to give for a special occasion, birthday or Mother's Day.

We started with a piece of card measuring 28cm x 15cm and scored at 7cm, 14, and 21 cm to make the compartments. We used the decorative label punch on the bottom edge to create the legs and hearts border punch all across the top

All four panels were stamped at the same time using most of the elements from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake and Pool Party colour combinations

Can you spot the tiny butterflies, these were made from the waste of the hearts border punch

The flower was stamped in Memento black and coloured in using an aqua pen and ink

There are only 10 days of Sale-a-bration left and with the release of some new products you can choose  from any of the catalogues to the value of £45 and earn yourself one of those lovely FREE sale-a-bration items. You can shop online with me HERE or contact me to place your order
