Hope you have all had a good week and looking forward to a relaxing few days  and maybe even a spot of crafting....

Last weekend I ran a workshop to make an embossed glass candle votive, holder and matching card.

All the ladies who attended remarked what a great time was had and for once we all finished on-time, giving chance for some social chat....

My husband even supplied plentiful tea/coffee to take away the thought of the blustery weather outside.

Calm Christmas and washi tape

Hello to you all, October is now well under way and the days and weeks are passing by quickly. Christmas will be upon us before we know it and so I have been busy in my craftroom creating some cards with a christmas theme.

The following two cards have been made using the Calm Christmas stamp set which is available from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. They both used the midnight muse colour cardstock with a hint of pear pizzazz for the leaves

The bottom edge of the card was embossed with one of the delicate designs folders

The Dove was stamped in versamark onto smoky slate cardstock, heat embossed with white powder and then the image was cut out separately and placed on dimensionals.

I saw a version of the following card on pintrest and altered it slightly using a different stamped image for the centre.

The bow is made from the new cherry cobbler stitched edge grosgrain ribbon
I love the idea of using the strips of washi tape as a decorative border.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and thanks for stopping by.

A new craftroom and Wishing You ...A happy birthday

Hi everyone, a couple of weeks ago we decided to turn our spare bedroom into a dedicated craftroom for me/office for the rest of the family when I am not using it.   I have been struggling for a few years now using the dining room table to make and prepare all the classes so each time I was crafting I had to pull out all my equipment and then put it away when I had finished.  This became very frustrating as  I seemed to be spending hours each day doing this and not achieving much.

It has now been two weeks and after a visit to IKEA last Thursday and a wonderful husband who has been busy making shelving and installing a television and computer I have a fantastic craftroom with a large spacious area for crafting. No more clearing away to make room for us to have our meals at the table!

Due to this I seem to be a little behind with my blogging and I have lots of things to share with you that we have made in the classes over the past few weeks.

Here is one we made using the Wishing You stamp set from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

I thought I would use it for a birthday card, showing you that it was an all year round stamp set, not just for Christmas!

This is a great little set of 4 stamps and is just £12.95 in the wood or £9.95 in the clear.

All the products to make the above card are available to purchase from my online store, or if you'd prefer contact me and I will place your order for you

Just a reminder  of the special offer from Stampin' Up to join for only £25. This is a real bargain and has never been so low. You may have been sitting on the fence and unsure about joining

This offer is only available until Monday 21st October. If you would like to find out more or just have a bit of a chat whether it feels right for you or not?

Handbag style card holder with matching cards using Flower Shop

Going back to basic colours (black/white) with a hint of pastel colour (coastal cabana) makes this handbag and card set really stand out. I found the original at this great website here. I have changed the colour scheme, decoration on the front and back and designed the cards

The handbag set was a theme for a class I did recently including 3 cards. The handbag doubles up as a card holder and has that antique feel with the brass brads.

Colours can be varied to suit any occasion whether it be a thankyou gift, unique christmas/birthday gift or just a lovely decoration to compliment your homes colour scheme......

Each person received half a pack of Modern Medley designer series paper and they could choose which papers they wanted to create the handbag,  along with a choice of antique brads and ribbons. They had lots left to take home so more could be made

The handbag opened out to show the cards inside. There is enough room to fit 5 cards and envelopes.

The front and back of the bag was decorated the same with very vanilla seam binding ribbon, and chantilly or victoria crochet ribbon and a stamped flower from the flower shop stamp set.

Sentiments are from Sassy Salutations.

I hope you liked the handbag and matching cards.

My next class is on Sunday 13th  and Monday 14th October 10am - 12pm when we will be embossing a glass candle holder, making a decorative holder for the glass to sit in and a card.I still have a couple of spaces left so please contact me for further details if you are interested in joining us to make this fun project

50th Birthday Card

Hi everyone I love making my friends and family those special birthday cards and this is one I made for a lovely friend and neighbour who turned 50 recently.

I thought the colour combination of calypso coral and soft sky really go well together

I used the flower shop stamp set with co-ordinating punch for the flowers, itty bitty punch for the flower centres,  labels collection framelits, and memorable moments for the sentiment.

I will be back tomorrow, to share some more cards with you.

From today you could join Stampin' Up! for the next two weeks for just £25. What a bargain. Please check out my Join Stampin' Up! page for more information
