Recent classes - Serene silhouettes slider card and faux tiled flowering flourishes

Hi everyone, I'm back again to share two more cards we made in recent classes. They were both CASED from pintrest

The first one is a slider card.  I really like making Slider Cards, partly because they are easy to make but mostly because everyone loves receiving them.  They just can’t stop pulling the ribbon and moving the slider back and forth.

We used serene silhouettes stamp set teamed with wisteria wonder, elegant eggplant, blushing bride and pear pizzazz.

The next card was a tiled effect using flowering flourishes stamp set along with rich razzleberry and crumb cake. Every so often we like a different look to our cards and this one is easy to create and adds a fun element to your designs.

The image was stamped in rich razzleberry and then a bone folder was used along with a diagonal scoring board to get the grid pattern that I needed on the card

Label love sentiment stamped in rich razzleberry and cut out with the co-ordinated artisan label punch. I have also used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set which is on offer until Monday with the matching Bitty Butterfly punch. 15% off when you buy both as a bundle at 23.97 in clear mount and 26.52 in wood.

Stamps:Serene silhouettes, petite pairs, flowering flourishes, label love, papillon potpourri

Ink: wisteria wonder, pink pirouette, elegant eggplant, rich razzleberry, crumb cake

Card:  Wisteria wonder, elegant eggplant, whisper white, Rich razzleberry,  crumb cake, naturals white

Tools: bitty butterfly punch, artisan label punch, scoring tool, stitched satin blushing bride ribbon, crumb cake seam binding ribbon, pearls

Thanks for stopping by

WOW - Flower shop and papillon potpourri decorative candle, matching box and card

We had a couple of fabulous crafting days last week teaching some lovely ladies how to make a beautiful decorated candle with co-ordinating box and card

We started by decorating one of the kraft gift boxes. These are available in packs of 4 for just £2.75 and are great for decorating and stampin on.

We used a colour combination of 'pool party' and 'so saffron'.  The pool party panels were embossed with the argyle embossing folder and the bow was created from the new designer series paper stacks with the  'so saffron' paper. The flowers were stamped using the Mixed Bunch and flower shop stamp set and co-ordinating punches.

The gift card was made with 'baked brown sugar' and 'whisper white' adorned with three more stamped flowers and some pressed clay moulded flowers for the centres which had been coloured with 'so saffron' and 'pool party' re-inkers.

The exciting part of the craft session was when we all got to play with decorating the candles. I got a WOW when demonstrating this when the greaseproof paper was peeled back to reveal the images of the flowers and butterflies had been transferred from the tissue paper on to the candle!!

If you would like to join us and make fun projects like this, please contact me for further details, I would be happy to help.

Card: Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White, Pool Party

Paper: Designer series paper stack - subtle (so saffron)

Saturday, 14 September 2013

Last Saturday the annual produce show was held in our local village hall.  Our family entered several exhibits from photos, baking cakes and handicrafts. There were a lot of entries this year and some quite stiff competition but I was lucky enough to win a share in a trophy for jointly receiving the most points in the handicraft section. I was shocked when my name was called out, as I have never won a trophy before!

I entered a scrapbooking page, a greeting card, and two plaques

My daughter Leanne entered several items in the baking section including plum bread, lemon drizzle cake, victoria sandwich, scones and decorated cup cakes. She did really well and won one third and 2 second prizes.

Here is the picture of her lemon drizzle cake

We brought all the cakes home with us but they didn't last very long as they tasted so good.
Some people were lucky enough to enjoy a slice at my class the following day.

Big Shot Magnetic Platform - BACK IN STOCK

I have some great news for you this morning, The Big Shot Magnetic platform is now available to purchase from today. It was so popular that Stampin Up sold 13 weeks worth of stock in 3 weeks and had to remove it from the system. A full shipment of the magnetic platforms have now arrived

WHY DO I NEED ONE?
The magnetic platform replaces your normal multi platform when you are using the wafer thin dies like the Framelits and Edgelits. It has magnets within the platform that hold the framelits in place where you want them so there is no need for post it notes to secure your items before rolling it through the Big Shot

The Magnetic Platform is the first thing I ordered from the new catalogue, it is an essential addition to your Big Shot collection.
Makes using the framelits and edgelits hassle free and mistakes almost impossible.

Contact me to buy now whilst stocks last.

The cost is £35.95. Item Code - 130658

Cascade anniversary card

Our house was full of celebrations this week, as well as our daughter's birthday at the beginning of the week, it was our 26th Wedding Anniversary last Thursday.  I can't believe how quickly time passes  it is a whole year since we celebrated our silver wedding!

As I had so much fun making Leanne's card I made another cascade card but a larger version.

Colour combination is Soft Sky and Smoky Slate which are both featured in the  new catalogue, I haven't used these colours before but I don't think it will be the last, as they co-ordinate well together

Lots of hearts were die cut using the heart a flutter and hearts framelits

Card: Smoky Slate, whisper white and Soft Sky
Ink: Soft Sky and smoky slate
Stamps: Memorable Moments, For my Family
Tools: Heart framelits, polka dots embossing folder, paper piercing tool and essentials pack, hearts a flutter framelits, decorative label punch, modern label punch, non stampin up swirl punch,
Embellishments: rhinestones

Until next time, thanks for looking x
