Best of Flowers

Hi everyone hope you are all still enjoying the weather.    I've had a few disturbed nights sleep with this weather and I'm sure some of you have too! A little warm to craft in perhaps but still nice to see the sun out. Now back to this week's cards.

We used the Best of Flowers stamp set for both cards.

With a colour combination of pistachio pudding and coastal cabana we created the first card using the resist embossing technique. The upsy daisy stamp was inked with versamark and stamped twice onto whisper white card. We then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

This was then sponged with coastal cabana and pistachio pudding and because the image had been heat embossed, it resists any colour put on top leaving the stamped image white

The second card used baked brown sugar and crisp cantaloupe. The upsy daisy image was stamped three times along the bottom of the card and then run through the big shot with fancy fan embossing folder

Three daisies were stamped onto crisp cantaloupe and punched out using the 1" scallop circle and placed onto two layered ovals.

A variation of the above card using the rose stamp from the set instead for the background

Wildflower meadow and gingham garden washi tape part II

As you can see from my last few posts I absolutely love the wildflower meadow stamp set and co-ordinating embossing folder.  Although it is a huge stamp, it is so easy to use, versatile and can make beautiful cards in no time at all. We all like those cards that are quick to make and look very effective

I have used coastal cabana card stock along with whisper white to make this easel card.  I inked the large stamp with versamark onto the coloured card and then added white embossing powder and heated it with the heat gun and run it through the big shot with the coordinating embossing folder.

The sentiment is from Label Love with a butterfly from papillon potpourri added to the corner.

For the next card  gingham garden washi tape was placed diagonally across some whisper white card. Lots of cards have been made with this tape over the past few weeks and there is still so much left on the rolls, it seems to go on forever! The stamp-a-majig was used to get the teeny tiny sentiment straight!

One of the stamps from the flowering flourishes stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy onto whisper white card and layered again onto Night of Navy card stock.

A few flowers punched from itty bitty punches in Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Crush and finished off with a few pearls in the centres and some retired Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon

Thanks for visiting

Gingham garden washi tape

Well another gorgeous day today. I think summer has actually arrived, we have had a whole week of beautiful sunshine and clear skies - absolutely lovely

I have two cards to share with you today that we made in the classes this week.  One which you have already seen in a previous post using the beautiful large wildflower meadow stamp, the gorgeous new in colour pistachio pudding, label love sentiment and a few pearls

For the second card we used Strawberry Slush, whisper white and daffodil delight cardstock

The yellow gingham strip along the middle was created using the new gingham roller in daffodil delight. We punched  a butterfly from some whisper white card and then mounted it on to another layer which had been covered with the new gingham garden washi tape.

Can you spot the yellow rose embellishment and how beautiful it is? this was made using the pressed white clay and moulds and when it had dried added some crystal effects for a glossy finish.  I love playing with this clay and have made lots of different flowers and buttons in an assortment of colours.

Another version of the card using the punched out butterfly as an embellishment and a sentiment from teeny tiny wishes

Wildflower meadow

One of the great advantages of being a demonstrator is being able to pre-order items before the catalogues are on sale and you get the chance to play with them and make samples.  One of the stamp sets I was able to pre-order was Wildflower Meadow Stamp set.

It is a large background stamp and co-ordinates with the wildflower meadow embossing folder. This is available as a bundle saving 15%.  Wood mount £19.95 (132735) Clear mount £17.25 (132985) The stamp creates a lovely card in minutes

This is one of the cards I demonstrated over the weekend. I have used one of the new in colours, Pistachio Pudding.  I have inked and stamped the whole stamp in Pistachio Pudding onto whisper white card and then run it through the coordinating embossing folder.

The lovely new sentiment is from Label Love and is punched out with the matching Artisan Label punch onto a strip which was punched from the scallop ribbon border punch

I have been making these gifts using the Tag-a-bag gift boxes and co-ordinating tag-a-bag accessories. The tag-a-bag gift boxes come in a pack with 8 kraft boxes and 8 acetate sleeves and are only £6.25.  The accessory kit contains 10 large base tags,10 medium builder tags, 10 mini clothes pegs, 5 self adhesive strips, stampin dimensions and 3 colours of Baker's twine. You can buy the gift boxes and accessory kit together for only £9.25. They are perfect for creating gifts especially for teachers and party favours.

Thanks for looking

Stampin' Up! Catalogue Launch Day

What an exciting weekend I have had. First on Saturday, we had a very enjoyable day at my husband's work open day in which some local bands were playing, we were escorted around the plant on a bus tour and supplied with plenty of food and drink. The weather was gorgeous and it was a very sociable occasion.

Sunday saw the second of my new catalogue launch days which was another great success. Each lady was given a goodie bag with two make & take projects, a brand new catalogue and various other goodies.
Goodie bags

I demonstrated some of the new fabulous products from the catalogue.  One of the favourites is the Simply Pressed Clay and molds. It is white moulding clay which you can create you own embellishments and is air dried. You can use it with the silicone moulds. There are two moulds, one with three flowers and one with three buttons. Add colour by kneading ink into the clay or colouring it with markers after it has dried. Add some dazzling diamond glitter to the moulds before placing the clay in it and you get glittered flowers which look fantastic!

Simply pressed clay is only £6.25(130685) a pack and the buttons and blossoms molds £7.25 (131272) for the two.

One of the make and take cards using the new gingham garden washi tape and Label Love Stamp set and matching punch. Colours used Daffodil Delight and one of the new in-colours Strawberry Slush.

The washi tape comes in a set with three different patterns and each roll holds 4.6metres for only £4.50 (129314). It was the first time I had used washi tape and was really impressed at how easy it is to use and you get very quick and fantastic results. The Label Love stamp set and punch are available as a bundle and you save 15%, Wood mount £31.75 (132723) and Clear mount £28.25 (132722)

The second card uses the modern mosaic stamp set with matching punch and embossing folder. The stamp set and punch are also available to purchase as a bundle.  Wood mount (130246)  £33.50, Clear Mount (130249) £29.25. The embossing folder is £7.50 (129984)

The 'HAPPY' letters were stamped separately using the occasions alphabet set and punching a 1/2" circle.  Colour combination is Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe.

I also had a sale table of retired products

Sale Table
As you can see I had lots of retired products to sell.  Although many items have now gone I still have quite a few left.

I will be back tomorrow to share some more cards

Fabulous Weekend

Happy Monday to you all on this beautiful morning. I am recovering today from a hectic weekend. As the brand new catalogue goes LIVE tomorrow I held the first of the launch days on Saturday afternoon. This was very well attended and thank you all for coming.

I demonstrated some of the fabulous new products from the catalogue. I think the favourite was the embellishments made in different colours and shapes from the simply pressed clay and moulds! I love these too and can't wait to start using them to embellish all my cards.

We then all sat down to play with some of the new stamp sets and in colours and completed two cards. I don't want to spoil anything for the ladies who are attending my next launch day on Sunday, so I will share all the photos then. I do have a few spaces left so please contact me if you would like to join us.

Later on the same day my husband bought tickets for us to go to the horse racing at Doncaster. We had a great time with my eldest daughter, brother, sister-in-law and family.  I even won a couple of races but by the end of the afternoon I had lost it all again!  There was a crowd of about 13,000 people and the weather was kind to us.

Enjoying an afternoon of horse-racing with Tracey, Laura, and Louise
The evening was completed with an outdoor concert by Ronan Keating. Its great to hear artists singing live.

Amongst all his new material he sung a few of his classics like Life is a Rollercoaster and Nothing At All which got all the crowd singing along. A great end to the day.

Stampin' Up have released today a NEW stamp set from the Best of 25 years range -
