Mens cards with Best Dad Ever and Dapper Dad

There are only a few days left to get any items on the Retired Product List before our brand new Stampin Up catalogue launches on 2nd July.

One of the exciting things about the new catalogue, as well as all the new lovely punches and stamps, are the new colours that we have this time!  I have been busy making lots of samples using these fabulous colours ready for my catalogue launch day, the first one being tomorrow,  Saturday.  I will reveal all my makes after then

As I have been busy I have forgotten to share the cards we made in the classes over the last couple of weeks.

Swallowtail Butterfly

We used the large detailed swallowtail butterfly for our cards this week. This is one of the biggest stamps I have ever seen!  And I think it's also one of the prettiest.

I have made this card using vellum and naturals white card stock. The swallowtail butterfly and one of the butterflies from papillon potpourri were stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The images were coloured in using Stampin Up markers on the back of the vellum using marina mist, lucky limeade and daffodil delight.

The large piece of vellum was attached to some naturals white cardstock. The script from the French Foliage (unfortunately  now sold out) was inked in soft suede and randomly stamped on the front of the white card with a few of the scattered dots in so saffron.

Some bashful blue grosgrain  ribbon (retired) was tied around the card for decoration and the sentiment is from Made for You stamped in marina mist

Another version of the card in A5 size, which is just as stunning.

For the next card the butterfly was inked with So saffron ink pad and with some finger daubers, some pear pizzazz and calypso coral were dotted over it before stamping onto some white card. Each image was unique.

Part of the butterfly was cut out and placed over designer series paper which was layered onto some pear pizzazz card.

Dotted scallop border punch in so saffron was used to make a decorative strip and a bow with so saffron taffeta ribbon

You may not be able to see it in the photo, I put some sparkle on the butterfly image with some dazzling diamonds glitter and two rhinestones were placed on the antenna.

I just love the versatility of the swallowtail stamp. as you can see from the photos you do not need to stamp the whole image, just partly stamped is very effective.

All dressed up with pop 'n cuts

As soon as I saw the dress up stamps and framelits in the Spring/Summer mini catalogue I knew I needed them and knew all my ladies would love them too.

I also needed the pop 'n cuts card base to compliment them. Although it is a considered purchase ( £32.95 card base + £17.95 dress form pop 'n cuts) I have been playing around with all these items and created a number of different cards, not just with dresses to show the versatility of the product.  I will post the things I have made in a few days time.

Early expresso, crumb cake and whisper white colours were used and Fancy fan embossing folder as the background.

I have used two different stampin' around wheels on this card,  the measuring stick  and viola's lace builder rollers, both in soft suede ink. The ladies were apprehensive about using the rollers, especially the lace one directly onto the card but they all achieved fantastic results

The next card uses so saffron, midnight muse and gumball green colour combination. The dress was stamped in Midnight muse and cut out with the framelits.

The patterned paper is from the print poetry designer series paper stack. Argyle embossing folder for the back ground. Sentiment is from itty bitty banners.

The final WOW card took quite a time to create as there were a lot of different components.

The Card base pop 'n cuts was used to create the main card in pool party and whisper white was used for the dress form in the middle.  The dress on the front was stamped in Summer Starfruit and layered onto one of the Apothecary Accents framelits

A combination of Comfort cafe designer series papers and crumb cake were also used.

The dress up framelits, stamps and card base pop 'n cuts are featured in the Spring/Summer Catalogue until 30th June. You can purchase the stamps and framelits as a bundle saving 15% at a cost of £34.50 wood or £30.95 clear mount. (individual price - framelits £20.95, wood mount £19.95, clear £15.95)

Please contact me on 07793293599 or email lgilbert66@gmail.com  if you would like to purchase any of the items
