Christmas 3D Box Frame

Hello there and welcome back to my blog. Christmas has passed by so fast again this year after so many hours of preparation and organisation!!  I hope you all had a very enjoyable time and are looking forward to 2013.

I am sharing a project which we made in a couple of classes in December. I have not shown it before as I completed a few more to give as christmas presents and didn't want to spoil the surprise.

The frames are similar to those we made earlier in the year. I had numerous requests to do one with a Christmas theme and this is what I designed using the Jolly Bingo Bits and Joyous Celebration Stamp sets using a combination of Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade colours and Festival of Prints DSP

All the ladies who came really enjoyed themselves and kept them busy for 3 hours.

snowflake soiree cupcake boxes

My daughter made some fabulous cupcakes recently as gifts so I created these lovely cupcake boxes for them to go in

Colours used cherry cobbler and midnight muse.

Each box was made from an A4 sheet of card which was scored very easily using the scoring tool. They were  individually stamped in whisper white using snowflake soiree stamp set before being assembled.

The hole in the box and the gift tag were made using the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch.

Scentsational Season gift card

Hi there, Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our house now, we finally got round to putting up the Christmas Tree and decorating the outside of the house with lights over the weekend. The presents are almost bought, I have just got the wrapping to do now.

Here are the cards we made in the last card class of 2012

The first card was created to hold a gift card inside. This is a simple design made from two pieces of card 16 x 14.8 cms and scored lengthways
at 10.5cms.  The flaps on each piece are adhered together around three sides, leaving the centre open, to form the centre pounch.  I used a 1 3/8" circle punch for the gift card to be inserted more easily.

Colours used cherry cobbler and crumb cake. The front of the card uses the scentsational season stamp set and holiday collection framelits for the christmas trees which were heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The snowflakes were stamped in whisper white using the snow swirled stamp set

The inside was decorated with another christmas tree and two framelits from
the labels collection, one stamped with a sentiment from petite pairs and the other one left blank

The snow was made from some white card which was torn and glittered

The second smaller card can either be used as a christmas card or a gift tag.

Colours used lucky limeade and cherry cobbler.  Stamp set is joyous celebrations and 2 strips of paper from the festival of prints designer series paper stack

I will be back soon as I have lots of things to share with you over the next few days

Holiday ornament and keepsake decoration

Apologies for the delay in blogging. I have been really busy over the past three weeks, with classes every weekend and during the week since returning from our holiday.  Friday is my last class of 2012 and then I can officially start the Christmas countdown and finish the shopping.

I have a few projects to show you but unfortunately they are christmas presents and the recipients read my blog so I don't want to spoil their surprise. However I can share the Christmas Ornament Decoration we made recently

There are lots of versions of the decoration on the website but this is my interpretation. I used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede colours. The snowflake was cut from Very vanilla cardstock using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die

Dazzling diamond glitter was added for that extra sparkle and the whole decoration was spritzed with champagne shimmer mist.

Stamp-a-stack II with snow swirled, snowflake soiree and northern flurry

Hi there to you on this sunny Sunday morning. I am sharing the last three cards from our stamp-a-stack cards last weekend.

Colour combination pool party and not quite navy. Stamp set is Snow swirled.  The window effect is created by stamping the images onto one piece of card and then cutting it into four pieces and placing together like a jigsaw puzzle. The sentiment was stamped and punched out with the decorative label punch.

The second card uses the northern flurry embossing folder and the sentiment is from the petite pairs stamp set.

A 1 1/4 inch circle punch was used to punch out the hole on the front. Tags til Christmas stamp set was used for the snowman image stamped with bashful blue on a separate piece of white card  and placed behind the hole before mounting it onto bashful blue card.

The third and final card of the stamp-a-stack class  uses a colour combination of marina mist and not quite navy

Stamp set used snowflake soiree from the autumn/winter catalogue and the Snow Flurry Bigz Die

Silver sparkle dazzling details was used on the snowflake with a rhinestone in the middle
