Christmas Diorama card and box

Hi there on this wet and miserable Monday. I would like to try and brighten up your day by sharing the following project that we have been making in the card classes last week.

It is a diorama card  with a matching box.  There are lots of samples of these cards around but I gained my inspiration from Jullie Kettlewell. You can view her original designs HERE.

We used the apothecary art stamps and matching framelits for the design of the card  with lots of punching out of flowers and leaves from boho blossoms, bird builder and itty bitty punches. We painted the flowers and leaves of the stamped stazon image with aqua painters. The new Silver sparkle dazzling details were used for the centres of the flowers

Colour combination used cherry cobbler and lucky limeade

Keepsake ornaments and evergreen

Hello everyone, today I am sharing the final two cards we made at the Christmas Stamp-A-Stack class last weekend.

The first card uses crumb cake as the main colour.  The  holiday ornament framelit dies and ornament keepsakes stamp set were used to stamp and cut out the baubles. . The shape of the card was cut on the big shot with the adorning accents edgelits and embossed with the coordinating adorning accents folder.

The pattern on the bottom was stamped with the snowflake party builder wheel, again in crumb cake

The following card was made by Pat, which shows a lovely variation of the sample card

For the last card we used the Evergreen stamp set.  Colour combination is  Early Expresso and Cherry Cobbler. One of the tree outlines were stamped in Crumb cake first and then stamped over the top with the 'silent night' words in cherry cobbler.

We also used  the core'dination card in cherry cobbler which was embossed with the lace brocade embossing folder and then sanded to create the texture

Supplies Used: (All Stampin Up! Unless Otherwise Stated)
  1. Card – Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
  2.  Stamps – Ornament Keepsakes, Greetings of the Season, Evergreen, For my Family, snowflake party builder wheel

Polar party and joyous celebration!

Hi, I am sharing some more cards which we made at last weekend's Christmas stamp-a-stack session

The first card uses the lovely Polar Party stamp set which we stamped  in Stazon onto one of the new die cut apothecary framelits and then coloured in using the markers. Some white baker's twine was wound around the bottom of the card and a sentiment from teeny tiny wishes placed on top. The colour combo is not quite navy and bashful blue.

The following card is one that Glenis and Becky made as a variation of the above. I think it is cute with the three penguins in a row.

The next card is one which was CASE'd from the Autumn/Winter catalogue  with a couple of added embellishments.

It features the holiday frame embossing folder and joyous celebrations stamps. Colour combination is cherry cobbler and soft suede

Supplies Used: (All Stampin Up! Unless Otherwise Stated)
  1. Card – Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Not quite Navy, Bashful blue

Evergreen

Hi everyone, these are the cards we created in my classes last week.

The first one uses the new holiday ornament framelit dies.  We used the fancy bauble to die cut a shape from very vanilla card. 8 strips each 1 cm wide were cut from the festival of prints designer series paper and layered over the back of the hole and then glued onto crumb cake. This is a great way to use up those scrap pieces of card

The  new core'dination card stock in cherry cobbler was embossed with the lacy brocade embossing folder and then sanded with a sanding block to create a distressed/flock design.Merry Christmas sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes and cut out with the bitty banners

For the second card we stamped one of the trees from the everygreen stamp set in whisper white on to cherry cobbler and heat embossed it with white embossing power.

The silent night words in the shape of a christmas tree was stamped onto acetate with Black stazon and placed over the top and attached with 4 silver brads. We again used cherry cobbler core'dination card which was embossed and sanded to create the flocked effect and finished with whisper white organza ribbon

The third card uses early expresso as the main card with a layer of cherry cobbler embossed with perfect polka dots. The christmas tree was stamped in crumb cake on to very vanilla card and the words were stamped over the top with cherry cobbler ink, this was layered onto early expresso card and the bottom was trimmed  with the scallop edge border punch. The bow is tied from a length of very vanilla seam binding.

Here are a few more variations of the cards

Lovely as a Tree in Autumn

Today I am sharing the page we created last Thursday in our monthly scrapbook class.

We started with a 12x12 sheet of Soft suede card and layered a piece of more mustard on top and stamped  the background with leaves in the same colour ink

We used the beautiful 'Lovely as a Tree' stamp set in soft suede at the bottom in Very Vanilla as a border and the new Autumn Accents Bigz Die for the leaves in so saffron, more mustard and soft suede. These were each embossed with woodgrain, perfect polka dots and square lattice embossing folders and decorated with victoria crochet trim.

The retired timeless type alphabet junior sizzlits was used for the titling along with petite pennants builder punch and some linen thread.

The photos were taken in Hyde Park last year with my hubby and Mum and Dad enjoying the lovely autumn sunshine.

Ornament Keepsake Decoration

Hello to you all on this Friday morning.  I have seen many versions of the beautiful ornament keepsake decoration which is featured on the front of the Autumnn/Winter catalogue and thought I would give it a try.

Here is my version.  I have used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede colours stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and cut out with the co-ordinating framelit dies.  It was completed with some Crumb Cake Tulle and  Snowflakes cut from the Snow Flurry Bigz Die and  dazzling diamonds.

Although it was time consuming stamping and cutting out the patterns the whole decoration only took about 2 hours to complete.

Back of the decoration
Many of my customers have asked whether I could do a class on making the decoration.  I have considered this and as the majority of the time is taken up by stamping and cutting out the baubles I  think the class would flow better if each person had their own ornament keepsake bundle. The clear mount bundle is £38.95 and the cost of the class would just be £4 extra.  I  have a few dates in mind and if you were interested in making one of these fabulous ornament decorations I would appreciate it if you could please contact me with your preferred dates and I will plan for the most suitable date

The dates are:
Saturday 8th December - 2pm - 5pm
Monday 10th December - 10 am - 1pm
Saturday 15th December - 2pm - 5pm
Monday 17th December - 10am - 1pm

Thank you

Birthday, Anniversary and Thank you

It was my eldest daughter's birthday last Saturday, I can't believe she is now 22 years old all grown up and independent, how time flies by so quickly.

This is the card I made for her.  It is created from three envelopes stuck together by the flaps to form a concertina card

I used retired designer series paper attic boutique,  pool party, so saffron and soft suede colours. The sentiments are from the Delightful Dozen stamp set. I also used the labels collection framelits, lace border punch, 6m scallop circle, adorning accents edgelits, polka dots embossing folder, itty bitty shapes punch and a few flowers from my stash to create the finished effect

A huge big thank you to  my lovely friend Margaret who gave me this beautiful bunch of roses on Tuesday. Along with three other friends we  meet up on a Tuesday afternoon to share crafting ideas and general chatter.  For the past few months Margaret hasn't been able to attend on a Tuesday very regularly as she has just celebrated her 40th Wedding Anniversary and has been travelling around the UK to visit 40 different areas.

As she has now almost completed her task (one more place to visit) we will be able to enjoy her company once again on a tuesday afternoon. Thank you again Margaret x
