Apothecary Frames

Hello these are the cards we made in classes held on Sunday and Monday this week. We used the new apothecary art stamps, framelit labels, and edgelits which are featured in the summer mini catalogue from Stampin Up. The stamps and framelit labels are my favourite products from this catalogue and I seem to be using them all the time. They are very simple to use and very effective

The pink and white card had a total of 7 layers!  I think this one will be hand delivered and not going in the post.

The other card was an easel card made with the framelit labels again. A very simple card but very effective, this time there were only 4 layers!

Until next time x

Birthday Celebrations

I would like to share a few things with you today. It was my brother's 50th Birthday last week and this is the card I made for him. He supports Grimsby Town Football Club and thought the colours in this card was appropriate being black and white.

It is a double twisted easel card. I designed my own backing paper by stamping a random pattern with circle circus stamp set in black and grey. The large numbers were cut from a template using designer series paper and decorated with ribbons, tiny tags and buttons. The sentiment was printed out on the computer and cut out using the new framelits. All products used were from Stampin' Up

In our Tuesday afternoon crafting club Tracey showed us how to make a mini album by folding square patterned papers into individual pages and then joining them together to form a book.

This is the mini album I created and gave it to my brother for his 50th birthday. I made an album with 5 pages.I added childhood photographs along with those of his family and embellished each page with ribbons, flowers and sentiments.

We had a party at the weekend and this was the cake my daughter made for him. As you can see, he supports Grimsby Town !!

Baby cards

I was asked to make a baby boy card for a friends new baby with the lovely pool party (green) and so saffron (yellow) colours These are the cards I designed for her.

I chose the cute stepper card and decoupaged a teddy on the front for the first one. Pool Party designer series paper was used for the background and the sentiment was stamped and punched using the curly label punch and attached with a brad.

The second card was a 6 x 6 square which was matted and layered. I used the scallop edge border along with the polka dot embossing folder, word window punch and 1" circle punch

Here are the square cards also made in pretty in pink for a girl and bashful blue for a boy.

All products, apart from the teddy, are from Stampin' Up, including the Bundle of Love stamp set.

Please contact me if anyone would like to purchase any products from Stampin' up or would like to order one of the above cards.

3D Box Frame Class

We all had a wonderful time making the 3d Box Frame  on Saturday afternoon and repeated again on Monday morning. We all started with a lovely 6x6 wooden frame as a blank canvas. All the ladies had a choice of themes and colours and created a patchwork design using 16 squares which were individually decorated with papers and embellishments

There is one frame missing above from Pat, to which i apologise as the photo was very blurred

Everyone enjoyed their crafting time producing some wonderful and beautiful frames.  You cannot really see the beauty of the frames in the photographs.

I know there are a couple of people who missed this class and really wanted to make one,  if you would like to do so, please contact me and I will put on another date.

We all agreed  later on in the year that we would have another class to complete a frame with a Christmas theme, so watch this space for details.

Scalloped Circles and lots of flowers!

I would like to share the page we produced at my second scrapbook class held last Thursday using Stampin' Up products

Firstly, we drew around a plate and cut out a large circle and stamped it with creative elements using crumb cake. Punched out scalloped circles were used to edge the circle.  The Top note die was cut out four times in whisper white and baja breeze and stamped with En Francai and placed behind the photo, along with a couple of strips of designer series paper. Lots of flowers were punched out using boho blossoms punch and leaves from the bird builder punch and of course no page would be complete without a butterfly

We had lots of fun lining up the borderline stamps in the two top corners,  but we all got there in the end!

Stamp sets: creative elements, En francais and borderlines
Punches:  scalloped circle, boho blossoms and bird builder.
Dies: top note and swirls scribbles sizzlits dies
Cardstock - Chocolate chip, so saffron, whisper white, baja breeze

If anyone is interested in attending a scrapbook class and would like to create pages like these to show your beautiful photographs, please contact me, no crafting experience is necessary.  At the moment I hold classes once a month

If you would like to purchase any of the above items used or any other Stampin' Up! products please email lgilbert66@gmail.com
